Donor Chairperson Resources & Information

We appreciate your willingness to serve as Donor Club Chairperson for your organization. Through your time and effort, you will be providing the “gift of life” for patients depending on blood transfusions to survive. LifeSouth Community Blood
Centers must collect at least 725 units of blood from volunteer donors every day to meet the needs of patients in the hospitals we supply. Donor clubs are essential in making this goal a reality. Teamwork is the key to a successful blood drive. As the Donor Club Chairperson, you serve as a vital link between your organization and the blood center. Through your enthusiasm and example, you can motivate others to share the gift of life.

Chairperson Spotlight

It’s a good thing that Mary McDade doesn’t remember the day that she was severely burned as a toddler, but she’s always known that blood donors saved her life. She knows this because her parents reminded her often when she was growing up. “It’s not only the doctors who saved your life,” her mother, a loyal blood donor, would tell her. Her parents are proud because not only does Mary donate blood on a regular basis, she is also one of our greatest Donor Chairpersons.
