Oh, The Places You’ll Give Summer Blood Drive

O- donors are known as universal donors. Since any patient can receive O- blood, it is often used in emergency situations to treat traumas and is considered the safest choice for newborns with compromised immune systems. Our community’s blood supply has reached critically low levels. Type O- donors are needed now.

By signing up to potentially participate in a research project with the LifeSouth Research Institute, blood donors and those who may be ineligible to donate can help patients in their community by contributing to research that could lead to breakthroughs in medical science.

Give blood at the Alachua County Youth Fair, Friday, February 28 through Tuesday, March 4.
